Albany Medical College Recognizes Faculty's Outstanding Contributions 

June,  2009-Ingrid M. Allard, M.D., has been appointed associate dean for community outreach and medical education and associate professor in medical education and pediatrics at Albany Medical College.

June,  2009-Three Albany Medical College faculty were recently recognized with induction into the College’s prestigious Sosa Academy of Medical Sciences. James R. Drake, Ph.D., David Jourd’heuil, Ph.D., and Ceshi Chen, Ph.D. were bestowed the honor at the College’s 171st commencement ceremonies May 21 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Albany Med's Pharmacy Residency Program Earns Accreditation 

Albany Med Board Member Pledges $1 Million Gift

June,  2009-Albany Medical Center’s one-year pharmacy residency program for students who have graduated with a degree in pharmacy has been accredited by the American  Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP).

May, 2009-Matthew Bender IV, longtime Albany Medical Center board member and volunteer, has committed $1 million to the institution to support Albany Medical College. The gift will be used to further support the Bender Endowed Chair in Neurology and the Bender Family Minority Scholarship.
