Neonatology Fellowship

A three-year program where fellows train at northeastern New York's only regional perinatal referral center.

Welcome to Albany Medical College

The Division of Neonatology at Albany Medical College offers a fully accredited three-year neonatology fellowship program. There is a position for one fellow each year. Importantly, the clinical service is not fellow-dependent for its function; this allows fellows significant flexibility in scheduling, and a curriculum balanced with clinical neonatology and individualized research experiences. A new curricular option allows fellows to focus their scholarly activity in perinatal ethics and obtain a master’s degree in bioethics during fellowship training.

Jacqueline Gallup, MD, FAAP quote
I have greatly appreciated my neonatology training at Albany Medical Center and feel well prepared to begin my career as an attending neonatologist. The small size of the fellowship program, along with the large size of the NICU and wide catchment area at Albany Medical Center allowed me to manage a wide range of pathology and acquire a great deal of hands-on experience with procedures. The neonatologists prioritize teaching and collaborating with the fellows for both clinical responsibilities as well as research.”
