Application Timeline

We follow the fellowship application and interview timeline suggested by the Society of Family Planning.

Requirements & Eligibility

We only accept applicants through the ERAS System.

Albany Medical Center’s Complex Family Planning Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited program.

Our program will consider applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Successful passing of USMLE Step I, II and III or COMLEX Level I, II and III
  • For non-citizens, J-1 visas only; we are unable to sponsor H1-b visas

Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). No other applications will be accepted. The matching process is managed by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

You need the following materials to apply to our program:

  • ERAS Application
  • Photograph
  • Personal statement
  • USMLE and/or COMLEX transcripts
  • Medical School Transcript
  • History of Previous Training
  • Three Current Letters of Recommendation, including one from Residency Program Director
  • ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
