Jacob Marvel

Manager of the Department of Pastoral Care

Meet The Rev. Jacob Marvel, BCC,  manager of the Department of Pastoral Care. He is a Certified Educator of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education. He completed clinical pastoral education residencies at Albany Medical Center and VA New York Harbor, where he also did supervisory training. He holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and Princeton Theological Seminary. In addition to his work at Albany Med, he is Wing Chaplain of the 109th Airlift in Scotia, N.Y., and has been deployed with the U.S. Air Force during Operations Enduring Freedom and Deep Freeze. Ordained and endorsed by the Reformed Church in America, the Rev. Marvel has served as pastor to Capital Region congregations of the RCA as well as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
