Lauren Bunch, PhD

Clinical Ethics Fellow 2019-20

Dr. Bunch is Assistant Professor in Medical Humanities and Bioethics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Prior to completing her clinical ethics fellowship at Alden March Bioethics Institute, she received her MA and PhD in philosophy from Duke University and her BA in philosophy, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Richmond. She completed the Healthcare Ethics Consultant Certified (HEC-C) program through the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities in 2020.

Dr. Bunch’s research interests include rural health care ethics, ethical issues related to vaccination, and ethical issues related to the emergence of autonomy in adolescents and the diminishment of autonomy in people with dementia.
