Transplant Surgeon Nicole Siparsky, M.D., and Hepatobiliary Surgeon Purvi Parikh, M.D., have joined Albany Medical Center’s division of general surgery and have been appointed assistant professors of surgery at Albany Medical College.

To symbolize their entry into the field of medicine, 140 first-year medical students at Albany Medical College received their white coats during the traditional “White Coat Ceremony” on the first day of school in August. As part of the tradition, they also recited the Hippocratic Oath—during which they promised to always practice medicine ethically.
