Light Up the Night, the summer’s premiere gala, raised a record-setting $270,000 last month to benefit Albany Medical Center’s Department of Emergency Medicine.
Held at Saratoga National Golf Club, the event drew 550 guests who enjoyed cuisine prepared by Prime at Saratoga National, a dazzling fireworks display by Alonzo Fireworks and music by Soul Session. MVP Health Care was the title sponsor of the evening for the eighth year in a row.
The evening’s record-breaking benevolence “showed a great understanding of the critically important work done by our emergency medicine team,” said Vincent P. Verdile, MD,’84, executive vice president of health affairs at Albany Medical Center, dean at Albany Medical College and an honorary co-host of this year’s gala.
Chief of Emergency Medicine Christopher King, MD, said, “This support helps us meet the increasing needs of our community and allows us to continue to find ways to provide our patients with high-quality care closer to home.”
