Neurologists of the Neurosciences Institute will diagnose a patient with neuromuscular disorders based on a careful examination and one or more laboratory tests. Tests may include blood analysis, nerve conduction studies, or electromyography.
Depending on the severity and specific features of the disease, treatment may consist of certain medications or physical therapy.
Most people with neuromuscular disorders have normal or near-normal muscle function with one or more of these treatments. Our neurologists determine the best treatment plan for each individual patient through an extensive patient evaluation.
