Dancing in the Woods

Thank you to our generous sponsors, honorary committee members, volunteers, guests and all who contributed to the 2015 Dancing in the Woods at The Armory at Sage. Together, we raised more than $500,000 to support the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Med.

Success stories happen every day at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. For our 32nd annual Dancing in the Woods, Melodies Center patient Rachael Murray shared her story about how Albany Med's team of doctors, nurses and staff saved her life and provided comfort and support to her whole family.

Watch Rachael tell her story.

More than 120 volunteers took pledges from callers during the 25-hour event.  Every dollar raised allows the children's hospital to purchase new equipment and support programs and services.

Light up the Night

Light Up the Night

Hannah Lowe LUTN HonoreeHannah Lowe, age 16, was successfully treated in Albany Med's Emergency Department after being struck by a car in 2014.

Light Up the Night, the premier gala of the summer, raised $269,460 for Albany Medical Center’s Department of Emergency Medicine, the region’s only state-designated Level 1 trauma center.

More than 400 guests attended the annual gala held July 10, 2015 at Saratoga National Golf Club. MVP Health Care was the title sponsor of the event for the ninth consecutive year.

“We are honored that so many people chose to give back to our emergency department, as we continuously work to respond to the growing health care needs of the Capital Region,” said Christopher King, MD, chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical Center. “Their support ensures that we can deliver expert care close to home to those who rely on us at a moment’s notice.”
