22nd annual Children's Hospital Golf Tournament


 

Soggy, but successful 2013 event

Persistent rain did not dampen the spirits of golfers at the 22nd annual Children's Hospital golf tournament at Colonie Golf and Country Club.

The tournament benefits the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, raising important funds that help us provide the most advanced care for the children and families of our region. As the only hospital in 25 counties devoted to the unique medical needs of children, we rely on the generosity and support of our community.

At the post-event banquet, Taryn Lisicki, mother of Children's Hospital patient Keaton McGiveny talked about the critical role the Children's Hospital at Albany Med plays in our community. Her son had two life-saving heart surgeries and is now a happy and healthy eight month old.
 
Through the efforts and generosity of all who participated in our 2013 outing, we raised $72,000 to support services like those that saved Keaton's life.
