Multiple Sclerosis


The Department of Neurology at Albany Medical College seeks neurologists with subspecialty expertise in Multiple Sclerosis. Existing resources include an established population, an outpatient infusion center, an experienced IOMSN certified nurse practitioner and clinical research personnel. As part of the Neurosciences Institute, faculty members in Neurology work closely with colleagues in the Division of Neurosurgery and the Departments of Psychiatry and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Albany Medical Center, the only academic medical center in northeastern New York, is a private, non-profit organization serving over 3 million people. The 650 bed tertiary care hospital is expanding to meet regional care needs. In addition to the MS program, the Department of Neurology has established programs in epilepsy & human brain mapping, dementia, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, neuroimaging research, pediatric neurology, stroke, comprehensive pain management and neurocritical care.

Successful candidates will have a commitment to high quality patient care, an interest in clinical research in multiple sclerosis, and an interest in resident and medical student education. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.
