Albany Medical College to Host "Teddy Bear Hospital Day"
Capital Region children are invited to bring their teddy bears in for a “checkup” at Albany Medical College’s 18th Annual Teddy Bear Hospital Day. The event, hosted by Albany Medical College students, will be held on Saturday, April 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Choices Café at Albany Medical Center.
Medical students will educate children about general health, good nutritional habits, and how to call 911. A variety of hands-on activities will teach children about basic medical procedures, and there also will be an opportunity to see the LifeNet helicopter, an ambulance, and a fire truck. Information about immunizations and poison control will be available to parents.
Admission is free, and free parking will be available in the Capital District Psychiatric Center’s garage.
