Otolaryngology is the diagnosis and treatment of patients with conditions of the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck. Physicians trained in otolaryngology can be referred to as otolaryngologists, ear, nose and throat doctors, and ENTs. Clinicians in the Department of Otolaryngology work closely with patients to treat conditions from the simple to the most complex–from allergies, acid reflux, sinusitis, and sleep apnea to head and neck tumors and advanced hearing rehabilitation/cochlear implantation.
