KINGSTON, N.Y., Jan 20, 2014 ‹ Darren Rohan, M.D., has joined Albany Medical Center's Department of Surgery and is seeing patients in Kingston and Poughkeepsie.

Formerly the chief of Thoracic Surgery at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, Dr. Rohan has special expertise in thoracic and general surgery. He is the only surgeon in the Hudson Valley to use the da Vinci robot for minimally invasive chest surgery, including lung lobectomy.

Double-board certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery, Dr. Rohan completed his fellowship training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New Hyde Park and served his residency at Boston Medical Center. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Rohan joins an elite surgical team that uses the latest technology and techniques to provide the most comprehensive care in the region.

Dr. Rohan is seeing patients at 373 Broadway in Kingston as well as 30 Columbia St. in Poughkeepsie.
