Manager, Patient Access Services - Emergency Department
 
 
There is an exciting opportunity available in our Level I trauma Emergency Department. The Business Operations Manager, will oversee the 24 x 7 day to day operations of the access clerical team in support of the patient care mission.   If you enjoy a fast paced, multi-faceted position, this opportunity is for you.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Must be results oriented; ability to manage and drive change
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Possess superior team building and coaching skills
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills with focus on process improvement
  • Capable of developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work closely with clinical providers to integrate support functions
  • Ability to work with multiple software systems
 
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years experience in healthcare management. 
  • Thorough knowledge of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA and experience with a high-volume “of patient turnaround.”
