Please support local kids by making a gift to the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Your generosity helps kids like 7-year-old Logan and her sister, 19-year- old Lauren, from Saratoga Springs, NY.  Both sisters are living with cystic fibrosis (CF) and depend on our children's hospital at Albany Med to maintain good health together. They look to the staff at the Cystic Fibrosis Care Center to help them follow their daily routine, including medication and a special CF vest that both Lauren and Logan wear to help manage symptoms.

Today, Logan and Lauren are able to lead active lives, thanks, in great part, to support from donors like you.

Please tune in on May 5 and May 6 to hear how your support makes a difference for kids like Logan, Lauren and their families. Put your money where the miracles are -- right here at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Med!

Light Up the Night

Carpentiri FamilyThe Carpentieri Family.

This event celebrates the thousands of lives saved annually by the physicians and staff of Albany Med's Department of Emergency Medicine, providing the most compassionate, state-of-the-art emergency health care in northeastern New York. As the only Level I Trauma Center in the 25 counties it serves, Albany Med is truly the region's lifeline.

It seems that almost everyone has a story about someone who has found help, hope and healing at Albany Med -- like little Antonia Carpentieri, of Latham.

When Antonia was 10 days old, her parents, Jill and Mike, watched as her breathing became labored. She perspired heavily, she turned gray. Rushed to Albany Med's Emergency Department, she was soon diagnosed by doctors with a hole in her little heart and other complications. She suffered cardiac arrest – and to save her, Albany Med doctors performed open heart surgery.

The operation was successful, Antonia recovered well and, today, the one-year-old toddler is thriving. "She is strong and sassy and full of life," her mother said. "We would tell any family who's going through this to trust the staff at Albany Medical Center. Not only are they great at what they do medically, but they're wonderful people, and they truly, truly care."

Your support helps Albany Med's Department of Emergency Medicine continue to provide round-the-clock care and the best possible outcomes for patients like Antonia and their families.
