Stanley Cohen, MDStanley N. Cohen, MD, an endowed professor at Stanford University and Nobel Laureate, developed a method to isolate and reproduce multiple copies of individual plasmids—small segments of DNA that endow bacteria with the ability to fight against antibiotics.
