He completed a fellowship training program in endocrinology at Albany Medical Center and joined The Endocrine Group in 1997. Dr. Watsky was one of the first physicians in the country to earn the ECNU designation. ECNU (Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound) is a professional certification for endocrinologists who perform diagnostic evaluations of the thyroid and parathyroid glands through use of ultrasound and ultrasound-guided needle aspiration. The ECNU credential signifies that an individual has passed a comprehensive certification exam and a review of images and reports called the Validation of Competency Process. The ECNU designation was granted August 2009 and requires re-certification in ten years. Dr. Watsky has been performing ultrasound exams and using ultrasound to guide fine needle aspirations of lesions in the neck since 1997.
