Pediatric Neurologist John Pugh Joins Staff

ALBANY, N.Y.,  August 29, 2012óJohn Anthony Pugh, M.D., Ph.D., has joined Albany Medical Center’s neurology group and has been appointed assistant professor of pediatric neurology at Albany Medical College. He treats children up to age 16 for general neurological conditions including seizure disorders, movement disorders, developmental delays, and headaches.

Dr. Pugh recently completed a pediatric neurology residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, where he also received a doctorate in biomedical neurosciences with a minor in cardiovascular physiology. His research interests include classification of post-concussive headaches and improving resident education in neurology.

Dr. Pugh is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Child Neurology Society and the American Academies of Neurology and Pediatrics.

He resides in Watervliet with his wife and two children.
