Albany Medical College to Host "Teddy Bear Hospital Day"
Capital Region children are invited to bring their teddy bears in for a “checkup” at Albany Medical College’s 19th Annual Teddy Bear Hospital Day. The event, hosted by Albany Medical College students, will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Choices Café at Albany Medical Center.
Medical students will educate children about general health, good nutritional habits, and how to call 911. A variety of hands-on activities will teach children about basic medical procedures, and there also will be an opportunity to see the Life Net helicopter, an ambulance, and a fire truck. Information about immunizations and poison control will be available to parents.
Admission is free, and free parking will be available in the Blue Lot in front of Albany Medical Center’s Physicians Pavilion or in the Capital District Psychiatric Center’s garage.
