Cushing replaces R. Wayne Diesel, who has served as chair since 2009.
Barba said, “Wayne Diesel provided outstanding leadership during a time of tremendous expansion for Albany Med and extraordinary changes in health care. His dedicated service has positioned our institution well for building on our success and facing the challenges ahead.”
