Albany Medical College is ranked seventh in U.S. News & World Report magazine’s 2011 edition of "America’s Best Graduate Schools" in the category of nurse anesthesiology. "This gem of a program has made us proud time and again," said Vincent Verdile, MD, dean of the Medical College and executive vice president of health affairs. "This national recognition is certainly well deserved."
The America’s Best Graduate Schools publication is an exclusive ranking of more than 1,000 graduate school programs. Rankings are based solely on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to deans, other administrators, and/or faculty at accredited degree programs or schools in each discipline. Albany Medical College placed seventh on the list of the top 15 nurse anesthesiology programs.
Educating nurse anesthetists since 1951, and marking the program's 60th year milestone, the Center for Nurse Anesthesiology at Albany Medical College prepares skilled nurse anesthesia practitioners.
