Albany Medical Center (AMC) is comprised of both the Albany Medical Center Hospital, and South Clinical Campus. AMC is northeastern New York’s only academic health sciences center, covering a 150 mile radius, and 25 counties of upstate New York and western New England, with a population of 2.9 million persons. AMC is New York state’s busiest Level 1 Trauma center. The plastic surgery service utilizes the operating rooms, inpatient facilities, emergency department, and clinics of Albany Medical Center (AMC) for its inpatient care.
The South Clinical Campus houses the Breast Care Center and the ambulatory surgery center.
The Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center is located on the main campus, and is the only state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive care for children in northeastern New York and western New England.
Albany Stratton VA Medical Center (VAMC)
The Stratton VA Medical Center opened in 1951 and serves Veterans in 22 counties of upstate New York, western Massachusetts and Vermont. The facility contains 156 beds, and is a tertiary referral center for the Veteran’s Administration Healthcare Network of Upstate New York (VISN 2).
