We are proud of our orthopedics training program at Albany Medical Center and are pleased that you are interested in learning more. Our program is dedicated to the highest quality of training in all subspecialties of orthopedic surgery. We're pleased to announce ACGME recently awarded full accreditation status through 2020.
Our dedicated faculty assures that each of our residents receives ample educational opportunities to develop the necessary surgical and patient management skills to be successful orthopedic surgeons. Trainees are exposed to a broad array of clinical experiences as they rotate through several different clinical venues, including our state of the art multidisciplinary Bone and Joint Center. They also have the opportunity to participate in cutting edge research under the tutelage of our faculty and in collaboration with basic science faculty at Albany Medical College. Graduates of our program routinely secure competitive fellowship or highly desirable practice positions. In 2009, our program received continued full accreditation and a five-year cycle from the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. We look forward to meeting with you and discussing our program in greater detail.
