Albany Med Welcomes Neurologist Dr. Bridget Frawley
ALBANY, N.Y., January 26, 2010—Bridget Frawley, M.D., a neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, has joined the department of neurology at Albany Medical Center and has been appointed assistant professor of neurology at Albany Medical College.
An Albany Medical College alumna, Dr. Frawley, class of ’04, stayed with the Medical Center to complete her residency in neurology and a fellowship in neurophysiology and epilepsy.
Dr. Frawley will join three full-time faculty in the Epilepsy and Human Brain Mapping Program. Her practice will be focused on the medical and surgical management of seizure disorders. In addition to seeing patients in the practice, she will be a part of the medical team working within Albany Med’s recently renovated epilepsy monitoring unit. As part of the Level 4 designated Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, the six-bed unit offers wireless brainwave monitoring technology that uses advanced computer systems and seizure recording equipment for the diagnosis of seizures and planning surgical strategies for their cure.
