The Department of Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical College is recruiting additional faculty. The Department currently has 32 faculty members and 36 residents in a three-year residency program. We are seeking board certified emergency physicians who have excellent clinical skills, a strong interest in medical education and a willingness to contribute to research.
Albany Medical Center, comprised by the medical college and hospital, is northeastern New York’s only academic health sciences center. Albany Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest medical schools, founded in 1837. The 650-bed Albany Medical Center Hospital is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region and is the busiest trauma center in the state. The emergency department has an annual census of over 70,000 patients.
The Department of Emergency Medicine has an outstanding residency program with faculty who are fellowship-trained in ultrasound, clinical research, toxicology, pediatric emergency medicine, emergency medical services and critical care medicine.
