Dr. James Schneider is fellowship-trained in sports injuries of the knee and shoulder. In additional to treating all orthopaedic conditions, he is an expert in ACL, meniscus, rotator cuff and labral surgeries -- applying minimally invasive or arthroscopic techniques, when appropriate. He completed a sports medicine fellowship with the Boston Celtics and serves as a team physician for UAlbany and local high school athletic teams.
Dr. Schneider prides himself on achieving excellent patient outcomes. He says, “When I treat athletes -- college, high school or weekend warriors -- my goal is to return them to their pre-injury level of performance.”
