Dr. R. Maxwell Alley specializes in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He is expert in ligamentous reconstruction of the knee and shoulder, arthroscopic operations of the elbow, shoulder, knee and ankle, as well as articular cartilage resurfacing (encompassing microfracture, OATS, and ACI). “I like to have fun with my patients,” says Dr. Alley, “we have a close relationship and I think that really helps them during recovery from their injuries.”
Dr. Alley serves on the Medical Advisory Board to the New York State Athletic Commission, where he advises on state boxing regulations and licensing. He is a team physician for UAlbany, as well as Shaker High School.
