Dr. Brian Valerian cares for patients with gastrointestinal problems/diseases with specific interest in benign and malignant conditions of the colon, rectum and anus. He is experienced in minimally invasive surgery for treatment of colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and other gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Valerian is one of only two colorectal surgeons in the Capital Region to perform transanal endoscopic microsurgery for resection of rectal polyps and tumors. In addition, he performs specialized procedures for treatment of hemorrhoids.
