Dr. Alger-Mayer is an associate professor of medicine at Albany Medical College and the medical director of the Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders. Dr. Alger-Mayer has extensive experience in the management of patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and obesity.
Joyce Bagyi, MS, RD, CDN
Joyce Bagyi is a dietitian who specializes in medical nutritional therapy. She works with pediatric and adult patients at Albany Medical Center, and has extensive experience working with people who have eating disorders.
Kadi Driscoll, PsyD
Kadi Driscoll is the team psychologist at the Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders. She provides ongoing assessment, support and guidance in discharge planning for patients and their families.
Katie Dyminski, RT
Katie Dyminski is a recreation therapist who works with patients to explore healthier ways to manage the stress and anxiety associated with their illness. She works with each patient to create an individualized treatment plan that is used both during recovery and after the patient’s discharge.
Kathleen Miller, RD
Kathleen Miller is a dietitian with ten years of experience working in both acute care and outpatient settings. She provides medical nutrition therapy to patients at the Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders who are 18 and older.
Tammy Ogden, RT
Tammy Colley-Ogden is a therapeutic recreation specialist who has extensive experience working with adolescent and adult patients struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression and addiction. She specializes in meal coaching and the Maudsley Method, a family-centered approach to treating eating disorders.
Diane Stredny, RN
Diane Stredny is the Healing Touch Program coordinator at Albany Med. She specializes in teaching stress reduction techniques and coping strategies to patients dealing with illness. She also educates patients’ families in healing touch techniques to help promote the well-being of their loved ones.
Sharon Wheeler, MS, MT-BC, LCAT, HTCP
Sharon Wheeler is the manager of Albany Med’s Healing Arts Program. As a multidisciplinary team member of the Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders, she provides individual therapy to patients using a full range of approaches that include creative journaling, music therapy and healing touch techniques.
