The Internal Medicine Group of Albany Med provides comprehensive primary care for patients 18 years of age and older. The physicians provide preventive care, including immunizations, physicals, diagnostic screening and referrals to specialists, as warranted. Urgent visits are available to address health care issues requiring more immediate attention.

The Internal Medicine Group utilizes the latest techniques to diagnose and treat common medical problems and offers the following services:
- Routine care for common medical problems
- Direct access to Albany Med's specialists within the faculty group practice
- Age-specific screening for numerous health issues
- Coordination of hospital care, when warranted
- Patient education designed to empower the patient to be a partner in their care
Additionally, the group has an on site laboratory that provides convenient specimen collections and blood drawing.
Recognitions and Accreditations
The Internal Medicine Group operates a diagnostic and treatment facility conveniently located to public transportation and interstate highways. This clinical facility provides over 25,000 outpatient visits per year, serving patients throughout our catchment area.
The Internal Medicine Group's clinical site has been reviewed and fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care organizations.
