Theresa McIntyre, BS, FNP-C, CDE
Ms. McIntyre received a BS in Health Science and Education from State University College at Cortland in 1988 and her nursing degree from Hudson Valley Community College in 1992. In 1998 she earned her certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Community General Hospital and Syracuse University.
Ms. McIntyre is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner as well as Diabetes Educator. She joined Albany Medical Center in 2005. Prior to that, she had seventeen years experience assisting patients and staff in managing diabetes in both the community and hospital settings. Her primary role at AMCH is management of diabetes in the inpatient population. She participates in the education of nursing staff, medical students and residents.
She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Diabetes Association and the Northeastern New York Diabetes Educators.
