Get Heart Healthy: Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation

Albany Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation is here to help after you’ve had a heart attack, bypass surgery, heart stent placement (PCI/PTCA), heart transplant or stable angina. The Albany Med Cardiac Rehab team will guide you on a path to achieving a healthier lifestyle, assist you in understanding cardiac risk factors, and help your heart health. The program is designed to improve your physical conditioning, cardiovascular health and overall quality of life. The end result is a happier, healthier you!

Who Would Benefit?
Our comprehensive program is designed for people who have had a heart attack, angina (heart pain) and coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Cardiac rehab also now accepts patients who have had heart valve replacement surgery and coronary artery stenting or PCI/PTCA. Individuals who have heart failure or who have had a heart transplant can also benefit from cardiac rehab.

Most insurance companies will cover the cost of cardiac rehabilitation, though co-pays
are applicable. Insurance policies vary, so we encourage you to verify coverage before entering the program.
