Laparoscopic (minimally invasive) Surgery
Your surgeon will make several small incisions to create multiple access points when performing laparoscopic bariatric surgery. A camera is inserted through the incisions to view the abdomen and smaller surgical instruments are then used to perform the surgery. Compared to open bariatric surgery, the laparoscopic procedure often results in faster healing time and less post operative pain for patients.
