Volunteer Program

As we begin the new millenium and witness the continued growth of HIV infection, our need for volunteers is increasing. We know that volunteers contribute significantly to our performance as a designated treatment center, so we rely on our volunteers to enhance the delivery of services to our clients. Due to the multitude of services we provide, there are many opportunities available for dedicated individuals to assist us in providing continued excellence in patient care.

Our volunteer mission is for ongoing excellence in service to the HIV community, as well as a guarantee that our volunteers will be satisfied in the work they perform. There are many opportunites available which allow our volunteers to contribute to the AIDS Program. The following are just some of what we have to offer:

    • Clinic hospitality
    • Clinic information/resources
    • Clerical/administrative assistance
    • Education Department duties
    • Morale Committee assistance

We recognize that sometimes case managers and medical providers cannot always completely understand where patients are and we need caring volunteers to "give back," helping us accomplish our goal of providing comprehensive care to our patients. The AIDS Program is committed to providing the necessary training needed to accomplish this mission.

We invite you to join us in a very rewarding volunteer experience. For more information, contact the volunteer office at the AIDS Program: (518) 262-6864.
