A Note for Patient Visitors
Remember, our first priority is ensuring your health. Visiting hours are based on your needs and comfort. A family member, friend or other individual designated by the patient may be present for emotional support during the course of the hospital stay at the request of the patient, unless that request infringes on other's rights, safety or is medically or therapeutically contraindicated. Visitor restrictions shall not be based on age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
Generally, visiting hours are between 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. but may vary based on patient care needs. Special arrangements can be made with your nurse if you need additional time with your loved ones, and parents of children who are receiving care in the Children’s Hospital are welcome to be with their children around-the-clock.

Rapid Response: A safety initiative for you
At Albany Medical Center, we work as a team to make sure that you receive the best possible care. We regard your family and friends as an important part of that team. If a noticeable change occurs in your condition, we ask that your visitors alert the nurse immediately. If your loved ones feel that you need additional medical attention, then they should dial “zero” from any hospital phone and request the Rapid Response Team.
