Specimen Collection: Three 2.7 mL blue top tubes. 
Minimum Volume: two 2.7 mL 
Handling Instructions for Offsite Areas: Process blood within 4 hours of draw time. Centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 20 minutes. Transfer plasma into four plastic tubes and freeze. Plasma MUST be platelet poor prior to freezing or accuracy of test results may be affected. 
Reference Values: Prothrombin time 9.7-11.9 sec, PTT lupus sensitive 23.6-30.2 sec, PTT NOT lupus sensitive 23.5-32.3 sec, PTT mixing study, Thrombin Time 16.8-20.6 sec, Dilute Russel Viper Venom 25.8-43.0 sec, Hexagonal phase phospholipid neutralization test for lupus anticoagulant neg: <8.0 sec pos: > or = 8.0 sec
