Students Care for Kids - Why Get Involved?

Why you should consider getting involved in Students Care for Kids:

  1. Have you ever known a child with cancer or other serious disease that required them to be in the hospital?
  2. Have you ever seen a baby born so small that they could not even breathe without help?
  3. Have you ever seen a helicopter flying someone to the hospital because they have been seriously injured in an accident?
  4. Have you ever heard about or participated in any efforts to raise money to help a child who is sick?
  5. Do you know a child with asthma or another disease that has kept them out of school for a long time?

If you answered ‘yes’ to one or more of these questions, you understand the importance of having quality healthcare available for you, your family and friends.

When you get involved and join Students Care for Kids, you will be helping the Children’s Hospital so that they can help sick kids in need.

Students Care for Kids IS...

Social: Through their charitable efforts, students interact with others within their school or community – building confidence and responsibility.

Community: Providing kids with the opportunity to support the region’s only Children’s Hospital, allows younger generations to understand at an early age the importance of community services and the difference one person can make in the lives of others.

Team Building: By encouraging students to work together toward a common goal, participants are motivated to use their creativity and understand that success can only be achieved with the support and help of others.
