Recognizing Our Donors - Partners In Leadership

In 1994, Albany Medical Center organized its premier gift recognition society called Partners in Leadership. Its mission is to encourage the highest level philanthropy to the Medical Center while honoring those individuals, businesses, and organizations who are Albany Medical Center's most generous annual donors. The Partners name reflects the substantial collaboration between those philanthropists and how their gifts make a meaningful difference in the quality of patient care, medical education and biomedical research which define Albany Medical Center's three-part mission. Leadership describes the social and professional profiles of our significant donors, as well as Albany Medical Center's constant goal to be a preeminent academic medical center.
Our Partners in Leadership are investors in the present and shareholders for our community's future.
Partners Making a Difference
Yearly, the Partners in Leadership contribute nearly 75% of total gifts to the Annual Fund. These funds are what make the difference between Albany Medical Center being a good facility and it being the highly recognized national and international academic health science center that it has become. In all areas of its three part mission -- patient care, research and education-- our Partners are helping Albany Medical Center provide the best in healthcare for the people of this region for today and tomorrow.
Who are Our Partners?
They include local, regional and national businesses, grateful patients, Albany Medical Center vendors, Albany Medical College alumni, our physicians, staff and Center and Foundation board members, and gifts from foundations, estates, and trusts. In 2007, there were 810 Partners in Leadership. This represents the highest total in the program's history.
