Generous Donors Help Albany Med Care, Educate and Discover
In 2013, you once again recognized that Albany Medical Center is a lifeline for northeastern New York and western New England.
The generosity of our donors has allowed us to continue to grow – growth necessitated by our communities’ need for world-class, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Lifeline: The Campaign for Albany Medical Center has already met with tremendous enthusiasm. Shortly after the first of 2014, we reached $110 million thanks to individuals, community and business leaders, corporations, foundations and alumni.

“The success we have enjoyed to date speaks to the connection people from all walks of life have with Albany Medical Center,” said John J. Nigro, area business leader and campaign chairman.
Gifts to the Lifeline Campaign support our missions to care, educate and discover. They support students at Albany Medical College who are eager to make a difference in the world. They support ground-breaking research efforts to find a cure or an innovative treatment for diseases of all kinds.

Gifts to Albany Med come from so many directions. We have been touched, and buoyed, by children helping other children by forgoing birthday gifts in favor of a donation to the Children’s Hospital or by holding bake sales or car washes to benefit our Radiothon.

Or perhaps you supported Albany Med with a simple click. Many of you visited www.amc.edu/give to make a gift, start a personal giving page or register for one of our events. While doing that, you likely saw one of our patient stories which shows how, through your generosity, lives are changed here each and every day.
There were literally thousands of success stories in 2013, and there are thousands more to come in 2014. For that, we offer our sincere thanks. Your belief and support in our missions allow us to continue being the lifeline our region needs – and has come to expect.
