From the Program Director

I am happy to contribute a few comments to this issue of the Albany Medical Review. After a several month hiatus, we have rejuvenated the editorial board and reorganized the process and schedule for submission of material from the residents. We hope that these changes will streamline the process of publication and ensure regular, quarterly editions. I hope you will all work with the editors of the "Review" to produce a high-quality, timely and informative journal.

I would like to welcome our new house staff. We have a strong group of first year residents and I am looking forward to the rest of the academic year. I also want to congratulate all the new and enthusiastic PGY-2 residents!

Finally, I would encourage you to get involved in our House Staff Council and other institutional committees. We did have a good response to my recent request for people to participate in institutional committees and I hope you are able to attend these meetings.
