Ph.D. and M.S. Programs in the Basic Sciences
Students are afforded the opportunity to join in the excitement of discovery, to engage in the challenges of research and contribute to the scientific community. Entering students quickly become part of research teams that accept the challenge of improving the health of the public by scientific advancement. Upon completion of the program, students become independent biomedical scientists equipped with the scientific and technologic expertise in their chosen field of specialization.

M.S. Programs in the Clinical Sciences
- Alden March Bioethics Institute
The Alden March Bioethics Institute offers the online Master of Science in Bioethics, in collaboration with Apple iTunes University, and Certificate in Clinical Ethics Consultation. Both programs are aimed primarily but not exclusively at mid-career professionals. The M.S. is also offered as a JD/MS dual degree program with Albany Law School, and the Certificate in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania.
- Center for Physician Assistant Studies
The Center for Physician Assistant Studies offers a Master of Science degree, in a program designed to prepare skilled physician assistant practitioners who are also equipped to engage in the scholarly activities of the profession.
- Center for Nurse Anesthesiology
Our Center for Nurse Anesthesiology offers a Masters of Science Degree. The program is designed to prepare skilled nurse anesthesia practitioners who have sound academic backgrounds and are capable of assuming leadership roles in the profession, to render competently all Nurse Anesthesia services.
