Chief Residents

I am originally from Houston, TX. During my senior year at the University of Texas at Austin, I visited Guatemala with HELPS International. This was my first exposure to plastic surgery and I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have particularly enjoyed complex facial reconstruction, breast reconstruction and hand surgery.

Over the last 5 years, I have been privileged to take part in, and enjoy tremendous growth in our program. As the only Level I trauma center in our region of Upstate New York, we have significant exposure to complex trauma reconstruction. Likewise, we provide large numbers of head and neck, breast and lower extremity free flap reconstruction. On the other side of the spectrum, we get a great experience with local surgeons in the private practice setting, as well as dropping down to New York City to work with internationally renowned plastic surgeons. All of these reasons and a collegial work environment, make our residency program a great place to train.

After completion of my chief year, I will be heading to Charlotte, NC for a 1 year aesthetic surgery fellowship. I anticipate joining a group practice upon completion of this additional training.
