Pediatric Residency Program

David A. Clark, MD
Chairman

The Department of Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center welcomes your application to our program. The entire faculty is committed to providing superior education in the care of children, a strong experience for primary care or an excellent base for those choosing a pediatric subspecialty. We are the only Pediatric Program in a 25 county area in upstate New York. This geographic stronghold gives us a broad breadth and depth in Pediatric pathophysiology. The senior house staff and faculty are readily available and intimately involved in the day to day patient care.

A special feature of our program is its location in the capital of the state of New York. This provides a unique opportunity to see the decision making process with respect to state and federal programs for the care of children.

The economy of the Albany region is fueled by the presence of the many branches of state government and by the multiple universities. These include the State University of Albany, Union College, Rensselear Polytechnical Institute, Siena College and other smaller liberal arts or Community Colleges. The Albany College of Pharmacy, the Albany College of Law and the New York State Laboratories are in close proximity providing unusual resources for pediatric education.

We will be accepting applications through ERAS only. No paper applications will be accepted.

If you have any questions, problems, or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our program coordinator at (518)-262-5626.

Sincerely,
David A. Clark, MD
