Emergency Medicine Residency - Albany Medical Center

I have always loved sports and thought that it would be great if I could make it a part of my career. As an emergency physician, sports medicine is also appealing because patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries present to the ED on a routine basis. Emergency physicians stand in the unique position to provide the expert medical skills in the sports medicine arena. The best part of splitting my efforts between sports medicine and the emergency medicine is the ability to develop an ongoing relationship with patients in one practice while continuing to treat others on an emergency basis in the other, I will be a better emergency physician because of my sports medicine training. Someday, I would like to run a clinic and see all the musculoskeletal cases that need follow up from the ED. I would like to work in an academic setting, mentoring ED residents and educating them in the art of musculoskeletal medicine.
