Albany Medical Center and College |
Welcome Medical Students
Choosing a residency program is one of the most important decisions you will make in your career. It is important that you find a program that meets your needs and expectations. We believe that our Internal Medicine residency program at Albany Medical Center is such a program. We are proud of our longstanding tradition of academic and clinical excellence. Our medical college was founded in 1839, and as such is one of the oldest medical colleges in the United States. Our hospital is a regional referral center serving a 25 county area of northeastern New York and western New England that boasts a population of over 2.5 million. This is reflected in the breadth of pathology our residents are exposed to in their training.
The goal of our Department of Medicine is to prepare our residents to become well trained, caring internists.
Our program provides an atmosphere which blends clinical and academic excellence with delivery of patient care. We strike a superb balance of providing a solid clinical experience while giving you the educational program, and time, you need to learn internal medicine.
