Postdoctoral Research Opportunities


Program in Tissue Remodeling, Center for Cell Biology and Cancer Research, Albany Medical College

The Center for Cell Biology and Cancer Research seeks applicants for its postdoctoral research training program in Tissue Remodeling. This program focuses on the roles of extracellular matrix proteins, integrins, growth factors and cytokines in regulating cell functions important to wound healing and tumor progression. The Center has undergone an expansion that includes the addition of new faculty and the establishment of well-equipped facilities for conducting molecular and cellular biology. Faculty are actively involved in the training of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students and in the research activities in their laboratories.  Center faculty collaborate with investigators in the Albany area, including the Wadsworth Center, SUNY-Albany, and RPI, as well as with researchers in Boston, MA and New York City (both ~ 3 hr by car). Albany is located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, offering affordable housing, easy commutes and quick access to cultural (e.g., Saratoga Springs and Tanglewood Performing Arts Centers), and outdoor activities (Adirondack and Catskill State Parks).  Excellent financial compensation and benefits are provided.
