Dr. Camille Kanaan is Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He specializes in prenatal diagnosis and the management of high risk pregnancies. Contributing to his clinical specialty is his ability to perform numerous advanced obstetrical procedures including fetal echocardiograms for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, fetal blood sampling and fetal blood transfusions. Dr. Kanaan is also expert at conducting CVS sampling, a test done during early pregnancy to identify potential health problems with the fetus. Additionally, Dr. Kanaan is known for his surgical expertise in managing placenta previa, placenta accreta and for treating obstetrical hemorrhage.
Dr. Kanaan’s years of experience has led him to develop a calm and compassionate approach to care: “The best I can offer is my time and expertise,” he says. “I try to educate my patients and spend extra time listening to their concerns.”
