Dr. Renee Samelson is one of only a few physicians in the country to have board certifications by the American Board of Preventative Medicine in public health and general preventative medicine, in addition to board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in OB/GYN and sub-specialty certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her clinical specialty includes high risk obstetrics, oral health and pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, and perinatal HIV and other infectious diseases.
Contributing to her many strengths is her ability to treat patients with complex needs, such as those who have had previous poor pregnancy outcomes or have conditions like diabetes or hypertension. When treating patients, Dr. Samelson utilizes a compassionate, yet pragmatic approach. “I practice with transparency,” she says. “I believe that each patient should have access to their complete medical record and I forward a copy of my consultation to the patient.”
