Dr. Richard Uhl is Chairman of the Division of Orthopaedics at Albany Medical College. He specializes in hand and upper extremity, as well as trauma orthopaedics. He is uniquely skilled in complex distal radius (wrist) fractures and carpal tunnel surgery. “By the time trauma patients see me, they’ve often already been to other doctors,” says Dr. Uhl. “My experience in problem-solving on their behalf helps me when treating all types of orthopaedic injuries.”
A professional saxophone player, he has a niche patient population of musicians from all over the world who rely on his keen understanding of their needs.
